Kinesiology, explained simply

Kinesiology is a complementary approach that uses muscle testing as a way of listening to the body, to identify and address stress-related imbalances.

Where does it come from?

It started in the United States in the 1960s from the work of chiropractor George Goodheart and has grown into many branches: Touch for Health, Brain Gym, Applied Kinesiology and others.

What happens in a session?

You stay fully clothed, seated or lying down. After talking about your goal, the kinesiologist tests how certain muscles respond to light pressure. These responses guide the choice of balancing techniques: movement, reflex points, breathing, and work on emotions or posture.

A session usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Many people notice a change after one to three sessions, but everyone's path is different.

Who is it for?

Adults, children, teenagers, athletes, people going through change, employees under heavy workloads: kinesiology is for anyone who wants to handle stress better and draw on their own resources.

What it doesn't do

Kinesiology does not provide medical diagnosis and does not replace any treatment. If you have symptoms, see a doctor. Our kinesiologists are happy to work alongside medical or psychological care.

Insurance

In Switzerland, some supplementary health insurance plans partly reimburse sessions when the therapist is recognised (for example by ASCA or EMR). Check your policy and ask us for a recognised therapist when you book.
